Workshop for children: “Carrying Memories: From the Museum to Silk”
Inspired by the Foundation’s Archaeological Museum’s Georgios and Nefeli Tziapra Pieridis Collection, this creative workshop invites children to discover the museum’s artifacts, motifs, and stories and to transfer them onto their own scarves.
Through observation, quick sketches, and freehand drawing, the children will create a personal artwork inspired by the museum’s collection, using special paints and fabric markers. The goal of the workshop is to introduce children to cultural heritage through a contemporary, hands-on, and playful creative process.
At the end of the workshop, each child will take home the scarf they have created.
Age: 8+
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Facilitator: Michalis Pantelidis – Artist and Textile Fashion Designer
