Workshop for adults: “Carrying Memories: From the Museum to Silk”
Inspired by the Foundation’s Archaeological Museum’s Georgios and Nefeli Tziapra Pierides Collection, through this hands-on scarf-making workshop, participants will explore the museum’s collection and transform objects, symbols, and personal observations into a contemporary design on fabric.
The workshop begins with a brief presentation of the artist’s creative methodology and a tour of the museum. Participants will photograph or sketch details that inspire them and then create their own composition on a scarf, using pencils, special paints, and fabric markers.
The workshop concludes with a presentation of the creations and a brief demonstration of different ways to wear and style a scarf.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home the scarf they have created.
Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Facilitator: Michalis Pantelidis – Artist and Textile Fashion Designer
