Outdoor Summer cinema screenings at Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation

As part of FANEROMENI26 Art Festival, the yard of the Cultural Foundation will again transform into an outdoor summer cinema, featuring unique productions and films in association with The Friends of Cinema Society, and will feature the following movies:

July 2, 2026 William Shakespeare’s Romeo+Juliet - 8:30 PM

(with Greek subtitles)/Category: Romance/Gangster/Drama Runtime: 160’

Film rating: 16+

Verona Beach, somewhere in America, today. There are two great and powerful families in the city: the Montagues and the Capulets. An unquenchable hatred exists between the two family leaders, a hatred that has been passed down to the younger generations. When a passionate romance blossoms between the Capulets’ only daughter and the Montagues’ only son, Verona will be turned into a living hell.

 

July 23, 2026 – LILO & STITCH (the 2025 movie) – 8:00 PM

The live-action remake of the classic Disney animated film brings new energy to the hilarious and heartwarming story of Lilo and her unconventional, adopted “pet,” Stitch. The lush, tropical landscapes of Hawaii offer settings as welcoming and warm as the “family” that Lilo and Stitch have created together, while the film authentically celebrates the culture and beauty of Hawaii.

The film is directed by Oscar nominee Dean Fleischer Camp and stars Sydney Elizabeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders, alongside Courtney B. Vance and Zach Galifianakis, with Maia Kealoha making her big-screen debut.

When the lonely LILO adopts STITCH, a mischievous alien “puppy,” he helps her broken family reunite, but in the process causes hilarious chaos and entertaining mischief across the Hawaiian Islands.

August 27, 2026 - DUMBO – (the movie) Tim Burton - 8:00 PM

Dumbo is an American adventure and fantasy film. It was directed by Tim Burton and written by Ehren Kruger. It is based on the story Dumbo, The Flying Elephant by Helen Aberson and is loosely inspired by the 1941 Walt Disney film of the same name. It stars Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Alan Arkin.

Circus owner Max Medici enlists Holt Farrier, a former circus star, and his children, Milly and Joe, to care for a newborn elephant with oversized ears, which make him the laughingstock of a circus on the brink of collapse. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus is restored to its former glory, attracting businessman B.A. Vandever, who wants the unusual pachyderm for Dreamland, his spectacular show. Dumbo reaches new heights alongside the charming and talented acrobat Colette Marsan, until Holt discovers that behind the dazzling glamour of Dreamland, dark secrets are hidden.
