For one more year, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation opens its courtyard in Faneromeni and invites you from 26 June to 11 September, to a beautiful Arts Festival to enjoy performances of music, dance, theatre, poetry and unique film screenings.

With a unique combination of arts, the festival will take us on a journey between the past and the present, around the thematic axis of contemporary manifestations of Cypriot identity in conjunction with the exhibition "Cyprus Insula", focusing on a contemporary approach and a renewed look at the concept of Cypriotism.

The Yasemin Collective opens the Festival on Thursday 26 June with the theatre and dance performance "Aphrodite(s)". A multidimensional proposal focusing on the female experience, identity and Cypriot multiplicity, directed and artistically curated by Natalia Panagiotou. Theatre, dance, music and poetry coexist in a polyphonic stage landscape, where Cypriot women creators from different artistic fields come together to renegotiate the image of Aphrodite: not as a Goddess or a myth, but as a living symbol of root and rupture, beauty and trauma, belonging and transition.

On 3 July, the performance If it’s evil, let it be exiled: spells and baskanies”, will follow, which is an original, multidimensional artistic event that explores and highlights the phenomenon of baskanies in Cyprus, as they were traditionally practiced, but also as they are mutated and survive in modern society.

The music of the composer, poet and researcher of Cypriot tradition Adamos Katsantonis will be used with loops referring to the repetitions of the ceremonies, as well as with live performances on stage. Anastasia Vorka, lyric coloratura soprano and young tenor and dancer Thomas Daskalakis will create a magical and interesting atmosphere, giving form to the practices of the past.

Next on July 17th, OGMIOS will present the musical and dance performance "KATHARSIS". Inspired by the relationship between history and myth, the performance continues the play "Ogmios Slays Gargantuan at Golgoi" where narration and music traveled to the Mediterranean, creating fantastic myths around the deity Ogmios.

In this new performance, Ogmios is exorcised, with dance and light design enhancing the narrative and adding a new dimension to the experience. The performance belongs to the framework of musical, dance and operatic spectacle with a strong innovative character. It combines elements of rock, contemporary classical and electronic music, while incorporating polyrhythmic structures and atmospheric vocals. Andys Skordis and Panagiotis Minas create a sonic atmosphere with drums, guitar, vocals and electronics, while dancers Melissa Konstantinidis Garo and Belinda Papavasiliou bring the darkness of the performance to the stage, dissolving the boundaries with the audience.

Choreographer/dancer Zoe Eleftheriou along with DJ/Music composer Alejjo, will fill the space with sounds and movement that inspire, heal and unite in a unique music, on Thursday 31 July, with their dance and music performance entitled "LOUKOUMILOUMIKOUMIKOUMI".

Since music belongs to the people and its value is not limited to old traditions, but is constantly rebelling in the present and future, the group has created and will present new pieces that will represent our contemporary realities.

With respect to our roots and the desire to discover new horizons, the show creates a movement that opens the doors to a music scene that is pluralistic and fresh. Showcasing their music through dance, not only as a means of preserving the past, but also as a mirror of the society they want to build: a society where diversity is a source of inspiration and youth.

On Thursday 4 September the play "Tσ̃ύκλοι, τσ̃αι χιλϊоτσ̃υκλοι” / “Cycles, in megaHertz” which was written especially for the arts Festival "Faneromeni '25" by the director-writer Euripides Dikaios with a provocatively imaginative creative use of the Cypriot tongue; the play is performed by acclaimed actor Petros Yiorkatzis.

A poetic journey with a humorous hue of a surreal intellect in a turbulent historical moment, navigating the width and breadth spectrum of the local idiom; it is inspired by the dialect’s fundamental friction with the natural environment, the historical record and the scientific wisdom trickling through time in Cypriot literature, with a special exploration in the publications of the Cultural Foundation.

With the 'radio audience' flooding the auditorium, a live broadcast, in person!

The musical group Monsieur Doumani festival will close the festival on September 12th with their music performance "PISSOURIN", a thematic album which deals with the night in its various manifestations, through an existential/philosophical prism.

A world that borders on the surrealism that one encounters in the spectrum of dreams, which Monsieur Doumani dresses up musically in a very special way, with elements of psychedelia, intense distortions in sound and openings to different musical styles and moods.

The Cultural Foundations courtyard will again transform into an outdoor summer cinema, featuring unique productions and films in association with The Friends of Cinema Society, featuring the following movies:
