This map was first published in Janssonius’ Accuratissima Orbis Antiqui Delineatio in 1652, without accompanying text; this copy comes from part six of his Novus Atlas, published in 1662. The map traces the journey of Aeneas to Rome after the destruction of Troy, while the inset map depicts the journey of Ulysses to Ithaca.
