Αγγελική Πιερίδoυ. 1918 – 1973 [Angeliki Pieridou. (1918 – 1973)]
The chronological presentation of the life and work of the brave and inconspicuous archaeologist, museologist and ethnologist was prepared by Maria Iacovou on the occasion of the Angeliki Pierides Memorial Day organised by the Archaeological Research Unit of the University of Cyprus. The Chronology is based on a combination of data from the personal archive of Angeliki Pieridou, oral testimonies and recollections of her husband, the well-known writer Giorgos Filippou Pierides, research undertaken by her daughter, Marina Hadjikakou, and various bibliographical sources. Detailed bibliographical lists cover Pieridou's archaeological and ethnological publications, while photographs from her archive add a personal note to this bio-bibliographical essay. Also included is a short unpublished text by A. Pieridou on the Museum of Popular Art in Kerynia.
