The Griffon Vulture

This documentary offers a comprehensive overview of the life of this bird whose numbers have unfortunately decreased dramatically in recent years. The griffon vulture — also known as “dustman of the countryside” — was once a popular vulture that lived in thousands on our island. Its current population is at a critical turning point, close to extinction. It will take a tremendous effort to reverse the situation given that the wild population is now reduced to no more than 20 vultures.
