Βαλεντίνος Χαραλάμπους [Valentinos Charalambous]

The book looks at the life and work of Valentinos Charalambous, one of the foremost Cypriot ceramists of international acclaim. Born in Varosi in 1929, to a family of traditional potters, he went on to study in London before being invited to organize the Ceramics Department at Baghdad’s Academy of Fine Arts, where he would work for a total of 30 years. Drawing fascinating information from the artist’s archives and other sources, as well as a wealth of photographic material from his first exhibitions to his most contemporary works, the book is a token of the most comprehensive research carried out in relation to the artist, illuminating unknown aspects of a prolific creative path.
