Museum of George and Nefeli Giabra Pierides Collection
In 1999 Solon Triantafyllides, Chairman of the Bank of Cyprus Group and his wife Clio donated to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation the collection of Cypriot Antiquities that belonged to her parents, George and Nefeli Giabra Pierides.
The Collection, which numbers more than 600 items, covers a broad range of Cypriot archaeology, from the Early Bronze Age (2500 BC) to the end of the Mediaeval Period (16th century). It includes unique specimens of Mycenaean pottery and representative pottery from the Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Roman and Medieval Periods, clay figurines, an important collection of sculptures in limestone and seals, jewelery, coins and objects made of copper.
