The Agora, is the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation's shop. It was set up in 1994 in order to sell copies of artefacts, facsimiles and books from Cultural Foundation's collections. The fundamental thinking behind that is common to all, to familiarise the visitor with the original exhibits through the purchase of copies or facsimiles, and to assimilate or enhance the visitor's knowledge by help of the various publications on sale. In this way, the visitor's ties with the institution and the exhibits are strengthened. At the same time, it secured the franchise of copies or artefacts and exhibits housed in the National Historical Museum of Greece.
