17 September - 17 September 2017

This particular action takes place in the framework of “Iphigenia in Aulis” to be staged in the Foundation’s courtyard on Thursday, 21 September 2017 at 21:00. The aim of the workshop is to investigate a contemporary version of the chorus in the ancient drama. Participants in the workshop will also take part in the performance, occupying the stage area as members of the drama’s chorus.

The presence of the chorus of citizens erodes the boundaries between the public and the actors, venturing into a hands-on investigation of the ancient drama’s dynamics as tool for the creation of community and participation in civic affairs. Participants in the workshop will explore collective movement, collective utterance and the definition of active spectator.

(the workshop will be in Greek)
