Environment and Sustainability

Series of Lectures

The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation cordially invites you to the second lecture entitled:

"Wetlands of Cyprus. Their importance to people and wildlife"

(The lecture will be delivered in Greek)

Wetlands in Cyprus have limited extent, and their sustainable management and protection is important to continuing their services to humans, and supporting their rich biodiversity. The European network Natura 2000, as well as other management frameworks, provide for efficient management regimes. Ιnformation and education, especially with regards to local people, are vital for preventing wetland degradation and elimination.
